I am a father of six, godfather of 12, and grandfather of 13.  Our large family is actively engaged in a large array of learning activities.  Indeed, every aspect of our life involves learning.  From, learning about each other, through learning about our world, to learning about the universe, each of us is involved in some part of gaining a better understanding of those we know, and the world around us.

My current passions include astronomy with a focus on exoplanet research.  My wife and daughter are busy creating a backyard environment that attracts butterflies and birds.  As part of the backyard we will have an observatory, Redding Observatory South.

Within these pages you will find material associated with amateur radio, amateur astronomy, birds, butterflies and gardens.

Of course, like other grandparents with large families, you will also see pictures of our family.
